Auger or bulb planter

Got a job I hate this Autumn, planting bulbs.They are going in soil not turf, we have a bulb planter but find it difficult to use so considering a hand earth auger. Do have a petrol posthole borer but the augers are too large for bulbs. Any thoughts on a hand earth auger?

Telescopic step ladders

Looking at Telescopic step ladders specifically for hedge trimming and pruning at height .Main reason my henchman is far too long to fit on top of my new smaller vehicle and the telescopic step ladders actually work out cheaper than fitting roof bars to transport my other scaffold set up  and will fit nicely inside my vehicle .Up to 16.5 ft reach but are they safe and fit for purpose , any recomendatios or advice appreciated , thanks .
