We are reviewing our charging for next year as from Jan.Majority of our work is commercial and we attain high realistic rates but we do have a small number of long standing high end private clients, we will not take any new domestic work on due to the difficulty in realising decent rates. Weeding/planting knife

Looking for carbon steel weeding/planting knife not made from stainless steel. All the major makes seem to be stainless which from reviews all  bend easily unless are used in television soil! Only one that have found is by Darlac which has awful reviews. Why do these makers insist on using stainless for the majority of tools which are as strong as plasticine, carbon steel is so much stronger. Elephant Trunk 3 or Easy Lift Harness

Sneeboer or Draper?

Looking for narrow border rake, been using Bulldog border rake which has spring tines ( £26) works well but the tines eventually snap or bend. So looked at the Sneeboer border rake ( around £90 with p&p) or Draper 0994 ( £19). Is the Sneeboer worth the cost, anyone got one ? Or anyone got the Draper? Or just buy another Bulldog? We use for light soil cultivation as well as a rake. Any thoughts?

Dirty subject.

Hi all, I am just going to put it out here. DOG TURD. What do others do with it being on a lawn. Do you shovel it up, pick it up in a bag or mow around, or even over it?I ask as I do not have a dog, therefore do not pick it up. Years ago I had clients where there was 20+ turds on the lawn every week & eventually I said I will not pick up or mow until it is all removed. Grass paint colourant

Made a blunder spot-treating some weeds in a lawn a couple of weeks back    not sure how I managed it but I've ended up with several brown circles roughly 2' across in the grass  Its possible I mixed up the 2 sprayers and ended up using Roundup instead of the selective. . . At least the weeds died! Really strange as all the lawn was pretty brown anyway with the dry weather so surprised anything could be absorbed by the dead  leaves to damage the grass roots.   Luckily, its a "commecial" site so…

Stihl HLA65 gear replacement

Hi, i'm trying to fix my brothers Stihl HLA65. He has bought a new gear for it as the teeth were all worn. But i'm struggling to disassemble it to swap them out.This central screw in the attached picture needs to come out so I can remove that plate(bracket) but it is attached to the main screw/pin attached to the motor so when i'm unscrewing it, it is just spinning. Does anyone know how I would remove this? Many thanks in advance.Matt
